My Monthly Mingle

Yes, I have finally decided on hosting a monthly event with varying themes (thanks to Cate of Sweetnicks for her help and advice on this!)

I love entertaining and with this virtual mingle I'd like to invite you over to my place for a bit of fun, story telling and hopefully a lot of laughter.

The theme and deadline to my "Monthly Mingle" will be announced on the same weekend of the round-up (normally the first weekend of the following month). This deadline is only the specific date the actual theme ends on and the date you should send me your entry by. It is not the date you must post your entry on your blogs.

This mingle should be fun and flexible. So, don't stress yourself! If you are cooking up something in your kitchen and think this could be an entry to the actual theme, then send it over.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Create a dish that fits the respective theme as described in each announcement
  2. Post about it on your blog during the relevant deadline (entries must be in English, please).
  3. Your creation must exclusively be prepared for the current Monthly Mingle theme and cannot be submitted to any other blog event.
  4. You must provide a link to this post and/or the announcement post and send the details to me or the guest host (see below).

Once you’ve posted your dish, please fill the form below to send me your entries.

I will do the round-up on the first weekend after the deadline. If I should be traveling, ill or have limited time, I will find a substitute who will be kind enough to host the event or inform you of a delay.

I hope I have thought of everything. I know I am the typical fretting hostess, but enough of all the fretting and let's get on to the party!

Monday is still good three days away, Meeta. Don't do this to us. God, I can't bear the suspense...

I may even cook for this...that way, you know you'll have someone to make fun of :)

Vaishali sweetie,

;-) It is the suspense in all good things (movies, books etc.) that keep us coming back. I think we both living in Germany will have a good time with the theme!

Alex, I am shocked! ;-) I think I speak for all my fellow bloggers ... no one will make fun of anything you make. I will be honored if you take part. Monday I'll announce the theme!

I already noted your event post, the day you posted it- and no way I'm missing it :) I had thought about making this weekend breakfast blogging public, but was wondering about the response as my blog isn't one of the hottest visited ones yet- But if you think it can be done, it will be a wonderful idea...Do give me a few tips ;)

Meeta,
It's Monday morning. Where's the theme? How do you want the Football to come? Oops, did I let out a secret? :)

Phew! After massive trouble with Blogger I have finally managed to post this. The Google Blogger forum was on fire the whole day. Apparently Blogger was having some serer trouble and bloggers all over the world were not able to post. But it seems to be OK now.
So, Vaishali, here is the theme! To my first mingle Football's coming home! Look forward to having you here!

Looks like fun. I would love to participate, but have you decided yet what the August theme will be? Or is this post not being updated?

Meeta said...

Hi Erin,
The August theme will be announced sometime on the weekend of the 16/17th. Right now "Grill it!" is the current theme and you have till the 15th to send in your entries.
